Done a few design this few days on the way home..

These few weeks  i m working more on characters.
most of them took 20 to 40 mins to design while going to work or back home on the train.

Some lunch time life painting with ipad... get quick lunch and paint at nearby location around office everyday...
sometimes i just search for a park/garden or cafe on the weekends and paint there for a whole day.

I m not very good at digital Plein air yet, and ipad is so hard to paint or sketch, but i always believe if you are doing something everyday, you will just get better and better with whatever you are doing... more importantly, i think painting in life is pretty important as a concept artist... so just do it, it wont be wrong !

Went to Malaysia for a short trip, Painted the Sunway pyramid Shopping mall near starbucks,

 and another mall call (1 utama ?? )near KL

Painted this on my way to work on the MRT. (composition and  local color study)

a weekend starbucks painting. I did the sketch on sketchbook by pencil, 

took a photo with ipad, and painted the sketch in brushes app.

Painted one of the Design school near my work place

Most of the the painting were done in about 45mins to 1 hour( skip lunch...lol ). The objective is to paint something with ipad or sketch book every single day, create a habit of paint or sketch anything whenever my hands are doing nothing ( e.g. waiting for transportation, food, lift, people or any free time, any where, any moment ) ..... thats a great habit... for artist...i guess ...lol.

This 2 is the 1st and 2nd Digital Plein air i ve ever done using i pad in my life...hehe
looks pretty bad when i look at them now...but...who care...everyone starts somewhere!

And these are the sketches/ painting for me to try out all the brushes, setting and getting use of the apps, it was so tough at the beginning, but I've told myself that i must do it, so i can happily sketch and paint  outside of my home/ office. That took me a few weeks....














I want to Thanks my boss Feng Zhu for giving me the I pad .. I m really loving it,  i will use it to the Full by painting and sketching it1000 times per day until it crack the screen!!... lol.

once i upload all my Ipad sketches from sketch club( painting app).. i will post them to a new post, and those are more about Concept design.
